Since its formation Chhattisgarh has become the new destination of domestic and foreign investment. The documentary critically investigates the impact of unbridled industrialization, privatization of water and acquisition of agricultural land on the life and livelihood of rural population. It’s based in Janjgir-Champa and Korba districts of Chhattisgarh. While Korba has already sacrificed its land, water, crop and fresh air to become the hub of the thermal power projection, Janjgir-Champa, ‘Rice bowl of Chhattisgarh’, wait for its turn. For the rural poor, alienation from land and livelihood and unjust compensation has turned their dream of development into a long nightmare.
